We’ve made it through 2020 – hooray! As we look back over the challenging year of 2020 (using our vintage spex of course), we are very grateful to all of you for supporting Dead Men’s Spex; we wouldn’t have made it without you! We’re also very grateful to our internet provider, our lens suppliers and of course our two local post offices which kept us going all through the various lockdowns and restrictions and still are.

Highlights of this year were being able to see customers again in our show room- shoffice as we call it. In hindsight, this was a rather brief window of opportunity really which ran from late July to October and then a couple of weeks before Christmas. However we managed to see quite a few customers which was lovely, there were a fair amount of repairs done too! We are now in tier 4  which we went into on Boxing Day along with a lot of the South East. Luckily as we are mainly an online business we are still trading using our lovely new website so we are able to offer a full service as our lens suppliers are still working and the opticians are still testing so people can get their prescriptions updated.

We enjoyed our New Year’s Eve which involved port, scrabble, Xmas cake and the obligatory Jules Holland. The three of us danced round the living room singing Auld Lang Syne, I even grabbed the cat for a dance, she was not impressed but reluctantly joined in.

We would like to wish you all a hopeful 2021 and are looking forward to sharing our vintage eyewear with you. It remains to be seen if there will be any shows for any of us to attend this year, I’m not holding my breath… We are crossing our fingers over the vaccine. In the mean time, thank you all for your support and custom.

Wishing you best wishes from Team Dead Man in remotest Norfolk
